Lip Tattoo

From a full lip tattoo, lip blush tattoo, to a lip liner tattoo, lip treatments are very popular not to mention lip fillers, etc. However I want to focus on the lip tattoo.

First and very common question is, does it hurt? And the answer is that some of my clients found it uncomfortable, some painful but I do my best to make the experience as less traumatic as possible. I do numb the area before and during the procedure. I always check in between if the client is okay, does require a break or is happy for me to carry on. The session can take up to 2hrs including the numbing time and mapping/pre-drawing the lip line.
Another, quite common question is, will it make my lips look bigger? And I can assure you that it will! Lip tattoos add volume and definition to the lips, creating a fuller and more youthful look. What I can say more is that your lip borders will be perfectly designed, which will eliminate the need of using a lip liner everyday. What is more you won't need to apply or reapply lipstick or lip colour!

Another great benefit of having lip tattoo, is that it can help even out discoloration caused by vitiligo, cancer treatments, illness, or injury. I had many clients who lips were very natural colour, even blending with the skin tone, adding more colour to the lips gave more defined look. Also a lip tattoo is a great option to help correct asymmetrical or uneven lips.

What I always check on the consultation except doing patch test, is if the client is prone to cold sores. Everyone carries the gene, but not everyone has a breakout. During the procedure lips will be going through trauma and if someone is prone to cold sores, I'm recommending to get anti-viral medication from your GP, or get some over the counter viral medication such as Zovirax and use that a week before the procedure

Overall, I can’t recommend this treatment enough, especially if you have lost your natural colour, shape, or are looking for something natural that gives you a more defined shape and helps you to look more radiant!  If you’re interested, you can contact me here.

Thanks,

Karolina x
